Nigeria’s D’Tigress have made history by advancing to the quarter-finals of the women’s basketball event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking the country’s first-ever appearance in the last eight of the Olympic basketball tournament.

This remarkable achievement was sealed with a decisive 79-70 victory over Canada in their final group stage match on Sunday, earning D’Tigress a total of five classification points and initially placing them at the top of Group B.
