Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, revealed that his late mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, was a “baddie.”
The ‘OBO’ crooner shared this sentiment while remembering his late mother in a recent Instagram post.
Posting a picture of his mom in her academic regalia, Davido wrote, “My mom was a baddie.”
Urban Pop recalls that Mrs. Veronica Adeleke passed away on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39.
She was a lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido would later earn a degree in music.
She also founded a band called ‘Davido’s Band’ in honour of her son.
Davido’s two daughters, Imade and Hailey, are named after her.
